The purpose of this position is to render a secretarial support and administrative support service. This individual must have good people skills, a high level of reliability and good grooming and presentation. The successful incumbent must possess the following personal attributes: Able to act with tact and discretion; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. This position is stationed in Cape Town.
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) plus a Secretarial/Office Administration Diploma/ Certificate; A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in office administration and rendering support services to Senior Management. A valid driver's licence.
Willingness to work irregular hours;
Key Performance Areas
Provide a secretarial/ receptionist support service to the Manager; Rendering administrative support services which includes procurement; Provide support to the manager regarding meetings; Support the manager with the administration of the budget; Analyse the relevant public service and departmental prescripts/ policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.
Good interpersonal and decision-making skills; communication (verbal and written) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape; Advanced computer literacy skills; Customer service orientation; Ability to work effectively in very a dynamic office; Stress tolerance; Willingness to work irregular hours; Attention to detail; Planning and organising skills.
